Introduction

This class is perfect for anyone new to yoga!  Detailed instructions are given for each pose, so you don’t have to worry if you aren’t familiar with their names.  These poses will help you build your strength and improve your balance.  Each class finishes with a relaxing stretch that will leave you feeling refreshed.  

If you would like some extra support during balancing poses, feel free to hold the back of a chair to help keep you stable.

Class Benefits

Practicing yoga encourages you to concentrate on the present moment.  This brings greater awareness to your body and your breath.  Staying focused on each movement you make, and shutting out external stimuli, can help center yourself and reduce stress and anxiety.  

Yoga is not about attaining the “perfect” yoga pose.  It is about noticing how you are feeling that day and committing to improving your well being- both physically and mentally.
